CONSULTATIONS:
A one-hour observation of your child will be conducted in his/her natural environment (i.e. home, school). Developmental scales may be used, but no formalized testing will be completed. A follow-up phone call or a brief written summary of findings and recommendations will be provided.
EVALUATIONS:
Without comprehensive written report:
A complete speech and language diagnostic evaluation and observations will be conducted. Formalized testing will be completed which may include some/all of the following areas: receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, articulation, oral motor, feeding, and play skills. A follow-up phone call, or a brief written summary of findings and recommendations will be provided.
With comprehensive written report:
A complete speech and language diagnostic evaluation and observations will be conducted. Formalized testing will be completed which may include some/all of the following areas: receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, articulation, oral motor, feeding, and play skills. A complete comprehensive written report including test scores, observations, findings, and recommendations will be provided.
TREATMENT:
Therapy sessions can be 30, 45, or 60-minutes depending on the child’s individualized needs.

PLAYDATES:
Are you eager for your child to have play dates with peers but worry that he/she does not have the skills to appropriately interact? Do you ever observe your child playing “next to” his/her peers rather than with them? Allison will provide your child with the necessary tools required to interact with his/her peers by working on expansion of play schemas and teaching appropriate pragmatic language skills to socialize. She can also assist your child during these play dates to help him/her generalize newly learned skills.
TOY SELECTION:
Do you ever feel like you have so many toys in your home but your child never seems to have anything to play with? Do all of the toys in your home blink, buzz, and sing all at the same time? Are all of your family members and friends asking you what they can buy for your child but you have no idea what to tell them? Sound familiar?! Allison can help! She believes that proper toy selection is an essential part of learning and development. Appropriate toys are the tools that children will need to learn to interact with the world around them. Allison will come to your home and help you sort through the toys that you already own and select new or more appropriate ones for your child’s age and developmental level.
